Responsibilities:
- Review the design of road signs (type, color, size, position) in the final design stage for bridge and road projects before installation.
- Design & review road markings in the final design stage of roads and bridges projects.
- Review names on road signs in Arabic and assure correct translation of names into English, according to the adopted standards of Oman for roadway design.
- Review of Traffic Reports prepared by Consultants and attend technical meetings as required.
Review of updated standard methods for road and bridge construction, and review of design specifications guidelines
- Manage the Traffic Counts carried out by the Ministry of Transport and visit the count stations.
Review and classification of traffic counts conducted by the MOTC and prepare results in periodic reports as required by Client.
- Participation in Meetings for Axle Weights and truck weigh stations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering
- Registered/Chartered Engineer is preferred
- 10 years with PhD.D, or 15 years with M.Sc., or 20 years with B.Sc. (10 Years for Omanis)
- Thorough knowledge of International Standards and Codes
- Experience in working with International Consultancy offices is preferable
- Knowledge in using Microsoft products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint & MS Projects)
